Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 grandes pommes de terre
  • 200 g de jambon
  • 150 g de fromage râpé
  • 30 g de beurre
  • 1/2 cuillère à café de sel

Instructions

  1. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes (about 2 mm thick) using a mandoline for even cooking.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 10 g of butter over medium heat (around 175°C).
  3. On a potato slice, layer ham and generously sprinkle grated cheese. Top with another potato slice to create a sandwich.
  4. Place the first sandwich in the skillet, cooking for 5-6 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Carefully flip the sandwich, adding 10 g of butter to the skillet, and cook the other side for another 5-6 minutes until crispy and golden.
  6. Let the sandwich cool for 1 minute before slicing in half, which helps prevent excessive cheese flow.
  7. Serve hot with a green salad or dipping sauce.
