Ingredients

Scale
  • 250 g farine tout usage
  • 75 g sucre
  • 75 g beurre doux, fondu
  • 150 ml lait tiède
  • 10 g levure sèche active
  • 2 œufs
  • 1 cuillère à café extrait de vanille

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar for about 10 minutes until the mixture is pale and airy.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until smooth and combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the flour and yeast. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture alternately with the warm milk, starting with the flour and avoiding over-mixing.
  5. Pour the batter into a 23 cm (9 inch) round cake pan.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, checking for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
