Description

Indulge in the heartwarming experience of Le Secret du Rôti du Dimanche, a classic family dish that wraps everyone in a cozy embrace. This succulent pork roast, caramelized on the outside and juicy within, is enhanced with a delightfully sweet honey glaze that elevates the meal. Ideal for Sunday gatherings, this easy-to-follow recipe ensures tender, flavorful meat by employing the perfect cooking techniques.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1,5 kg rôti de porc
  • 2 cuillères à soupe huile d'olive
  • 2 cuillères à café sel
  • 100 g miel
  • 2 cuillères à soupe vinaigre balsamique
  • 1 cuillère à café poivre noir
  • 1 kg pommes de terre
  • 2 cuillères à soupe beurre

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sear the pork roast for 5 to 7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. In a bowl, mix the honey, balsamic vinegar, and black pepper to prepare the glaze.
  4. Transfer the roast to a large baking dish. Brush generously with the glaze. Lower the oven temperature to 160°C (320°F) and roast for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 63°C (145°F).
  5. For the last 30 minutes of cooking, add cut potatoes around the roast, tossing them lightly with melted butter, salt, and pepper.
  6. Once done, let the roast rest for 15 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
  7. Serve the sliced roast with the roasted potatoes and drizzle with extra glaze if desired.
