  • Author: shareylady
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

This Beef Teriyaki Noodles recipe combines tender beef strips with vibrant vegetables and a homemade teriyaki sauce for a comforting and flavorful dish. Ready in under 30 minutes, it’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ green cabbage, shredded
  • 2 carrots, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • ⅔ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 16oz spaghetti (1 pound box)
  • 3 ½ cups water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Begin by heating a large pot over medium-high heat. Once hot, add 1 teaspoon of olive oil. You’ll know it’s ready when the oil shimmers slightly.
  2. Add the shredded cabbage and carrots to the pot. Sauté for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables start to soften and turn a vibrant color—this is your cue to move on.
  3. Pour in ⅔ cup of soy sauce and ½ cup of brown sugar, followed by ½ teaspoon of ground mustard, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger, and ½ teaspoon of garlic powder. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  4. Next, add the 16oz of spaghetti to the pot. If it’s easier for you, feel free to break the spaghetti in half. Then, pour in 3 ½ cups of water. This will help the noodles cook evenly.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook uncovered for 15-18 minutes. Stir every few minutes, especially as the noodles begin to soften. Avoid letting them stick to the bottom of the pot; the goal is to have them tender but not mushy.
  6. Once the noodles are cooked through and have absorbed most of the liquid, remove the pot from heat. Toss in 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds for extra crunch and flavor.
  7. Serve immediately, garnishing with additional sesame seeds and optional green onions for a fresh touch. Enjoy your meal!
