Bananes glacées enrobées de chocolat

  • Author: shareylady
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 6-8 servings 1x

Description

Indulge in a delightful treat with these chocolate-covered frozen bananas! Made with just four simple ingredients, this dessert offers a perfect balance of creamy sweetness from ripe bananas and rich, crispy chocolate. Ideal for hot summer days, these frozen bites are refreshing and satisfying without requiring any cooking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 grandes bananes
  • 200 g chocolat noir
  • 2 cuillères à soupe beurre de cacahuète
  • 50 g noix de coco râpée (optionnel)

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into rounds approximately 2.5 cm thick. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for at least 2 hours.
  2. In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and peanut butter. Melt over a double boiler on low heat, stirring regularly until smooth and glossy (about 5 to 7 minutes).
  3. Remove the banana slices from the freezer. Using a fork, dip each slice into the melted chocolate mixture, ensuring they are fully coated. Remove excess chocolate by tapping them gently against the bowl's edge.
  4. Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle shredded coconut on top of the coated banana slices if using.
  5. Return the chocolate-covered bananas to the baking sheet and freeze for an additional 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is fully hardened.
  6. Serve immediately after removal from the freezer. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

Keywords: Ensure bananas are ripe for optimal sweetness and flavor. Experiment with different types of chocolate (milk, white) or add toppings such as chopped nuts or sprinkles for variety. For a thicker chocolate coating, dip the bananas twice, freezing them for 10 minutes between dips.
