Description

Elevate your coffee game with this delightful Cherry Vanilla Latte that combines sweet cherries and smooth vanilla with bold espresso. It’s a luxurious experience that you can easily recreate at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots of freshly brewed espresso (about 2 ounces total)
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup of very strong brewed coffee (as a substitution for espresso)
  • Whole milk (for a creamy texture)
  • Oat milk, almond milk, soy milk, or coconut milk (as milk alternatives)
  • Cherry syrup (made with real fruit juice)
  • Homemade cherry syrup (pitted fresh or frozen cherries, sugar, and water)
  • Vanilla syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract (as a substitution for vanilla syrup)
  • Ice (for iced latte)
  • Whipped cream (optional garnish)
  • Extra cherry syrup (optional garnish)
  • Fresh cherries (optional garnish)
  • Vanilla bean flecks (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brew your espresso or strong coffee. If using an espresso machine, pull two fresh shots. If using strong coffee, brew about 1/2 to 3/4 cup.
  2. Prepare your glass by pouring in the syrups. For a standard 12-16 oz serving, start with 1.5 to 2 tablespoons of cherry syrup and 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of vanilla syrup.
  3. If making an iced latte, fill your glass generously with ice cubes.
  4. Pour your chosen milk over the syrups and (if applicable) the ice. For an iced latte, use cold milk; for a hot latte, steam and froth the milk before pouring.
  5. Slowly pour your hot espresso or strong coffee over the milk layer.
  6. Stir your latte with a long spoon to blend the flavors.
  7. Garnish your latte with whipped cream, a drizzle of cherry syrup, or fresh cherries.
