Description
This baked salmon is marinated in a zesty mix of olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and herbs, creating a moist and flavorful dish. Perfect for any occasion, it pairs well with your favorite sides for a complete meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 lemon, sliced (for garnish)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
- Place the salmon fillets in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
- Once marinated, remove the salmon from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes. Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down. Brush any leftover marinade over the top of the fillets. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- After baking, let the salmon rest for a few minutes. Slice the lemon into wedges for garnish. Transfer the salmon to a serving platter and garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices.
Notes
- Pair with roasted vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes, or a light quinoa salad for a complete meal.
- Store any leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes or microwave carefully.
