Enjoy the homemade Crunchwrap Supremes, featuring seasoned beef, crispy tostada shells, and fresh toppings all wrapped in a golden tortilla. This fun and easy recipe is perfect for family dinners or gatherings with friends!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (or turkey for a lighter option)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 6 large flour tortillas (10-inch size)
  • 6 small tostada shells
  • 1 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Cooking spray or olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Use a spatula to break it up into small pieces as it cooks.
  2. Cook the beef until it’s browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  3. Add the taco seasoning and 1 cup of water to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
  6. Gather all your ingredients for assembly: tortillas, tostada shells, nacho cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese.
  7. Lay out a large flour tortilla on a clean surface.
  8. Spread about 2 tablespoons of nacho cheese sauce in the center of the tortilla, leaving about 2 inches of space around the edges.
  9. Add a generous scoop of the seasoned beef mixture on top of the cheese.
  10. Place a small tostada shell directly on top of the beef.
  11. Spread about 2 tablespoons of sour cream over the tostada shell.
  12. Add a handful of shredded lettuce, followed by diced tomatoes and shredded cheddar cheese.
  13. Fold the edges of the tortilla towards the center, creating pleats as you go, until the filling is completely covered.
  14. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and lightly coat it with cooking spray or olive oil.
  15. Place the folded Crunchwrap seam-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.
  16. Flip the Crunchwrap over and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side until golden brown and crispy.
  17. Remove the Crunchwrap from the skillet and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
  18. Repeat the cooking process with the remaining Crunchwraps.
  19. Cut the Crunchwraps in half for easier eating or serve them whole.
  20. Drizzle additional nacho cheese or hot sauce on top before serving, if desired.
  21. Pair with tortilla chips and salsa or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
  22. Enjoy your homemade Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme with friends or family!

Notes

  • Customize your Crunchwrap with additional toppings like jalapeños, guacamole, or black beans.
  • For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with black beans or lentils, and use plant-based cheese and sour cream.
  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the beef mixture.
  • Ensure to fold the tortilla tightly to prevent any filling from spilling out during cooking.
