Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225g) rice noodles
  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of water. Add the rice noodles and cook according to package instructions (4-6 minutes) until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine sliced beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well and let marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.
  4. Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot, stir-frying for 4-5 minutes until tender but crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet. Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and vegetables, stirring to combine. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Add the cooked rice noodles to the skillet and gently toss to combine. Adjust seasoning if necessary. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds. Enjoy with family or friends!

Notes

  • For meal prep, prepare the beef and vegetables in advance and store separately. Cook noodles fresh for the best texture.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet with a splash of water or soy sauce.
