Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz (225g) rice noodles
- 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of water. Add the rice noodles and cook according to package instructions (4-6 minutes) until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine sliced beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well and let marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot, stir-frying for 4-5 minutes until tender but crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet. Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and vegetables, stirring to combine. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Add the cooked rice noodles to the skillet and gently toss to combine. Adjust seasoning if necessary. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds. Enjoy with family or friends!
Notes
- For meal prep, prepare the beef and vegetables in advance and store separately. Cook noodles fresh for the best texture.
