  • Author: shareylady
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 24 appetizers

Description

These Mini Dill Pickle And Cheese Ritz Appetizers are a delightful combination of tangy dill pickles and creamy cheese on a buttery Ritz cracker. Perfect for any gathering, they deliver a burst of flavor that will have everyone asking for more!

Ingredients

  • Ritz Crackers
  • Cream Cheese, softened
  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated
  • Dill Pickles, well-drained and patted dry
  • Fresh Dill, optional
  • Garlic Powder, optional
  • Onion Powder, optional
  • Cayenne Pepper, optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Pickles: Remove mini dill pickles or gherkins from the jar. If using larger pickles, slice them into thin rounds or small pieces. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. Soften and Grate Your Cheeses: Take cream cheese out of the fridge to soften for 30 minutes to an hour. Grate the sharp cheddar cheese and set both aside.
  3. Create the Creamy Cheese Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and grated sharp cheddar cheese. Add any optional seasonings like garlic powder and onion powder. If using fresh dill, chop it finely and fold it into the mixture. Mix until well combined.
  4. Assemble Your Appetizers: Lay out Ritz crackers on a platter. Dollop a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture onto each cracker, spreading it gently.
  5. Top with Pickles and Garnish: Place a dried pickle slice or a few diced pickle pieces on top of the cream cheese mixture on each cracker. Optionally, add a sprig of fresh dill on top of each pickle.
