  • 2430 ounces Alfredo sauce
  • 2832 ounces frozen tater tots
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • a generous pinch of black pepper
  • Italian seasoning or dried parsley (optional, to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded or diced cooked chicken with the Alfredo sauce.
  3. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper, stirring gently until the chicken is thoroughly coated.
  4. Arrange about half of the frozen tater tots in a single, even layer on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  5. Spoon the chicken Alfredo mixture evenly over the layer of tater tots, spreading it to the edges.
  6. Sprinkle about 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and half of the grated Parmesan cheese over the chicken Alfredo layer.
  7. Arrange the remaining half of the frozen tater tots on top of the cheese layer.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella and the rest of the Parmesan cheese over the top layer of tater tots.
  9. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let the gratin rest for about 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired.
