Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Cream Cheese
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1 1/2 cups Shredded Cheese (sharp cheddar or alternatives)
- 1/2 cup Chopped Green Onions
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 tbsp Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Hot Sauce to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, add your ground beef. Cook it until it’s browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Once your beef is cooked, stir in the chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes so the spices can bloom.
- In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and half of the shredded cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the cooked beef mixture, chopped green onions, and hot sauce. Make sure everything is well incorporated.
- Spoon the mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Pair it with tortilla chips, sliced veggies, or your favorite crackers.
