Ingredients
Scale
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk caramel (or dulce de leche)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter, 1 cup of brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar until creamy and well combined.
- Mix in 2 large eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Then, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in 1 cup of milk caramel (or dulce de leche).
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each for spreading.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers look slightly underbaked.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
