  • Author: Lana
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Description

These mini beef sliders are bursting with flavor, featuring juicy patties, melted American cheese, and a creamy special sauce. Perfect for parties or family dinners, they offer a delightful bite-sized treat that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 12 slider buns (mini burger buns)
  • 6 slices of American cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup pickles (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Use your hands to mix the ingredients gently, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  2. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions, weighing about 2 ounces each.
  3. Shape each portion into a small patty, slightly larger than the slider buns, and make a small indentation in the center of each patty.
  4. Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat (or use a grill for a smoky flavor).
  5. Add the patties in batches, cooking for about 3-4 minutes on one side until a nice crust forms.
  6. Flip the patties and place a slice of American cheese on top of each one. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F).
  7. Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  8. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, white vinegar, and sugar. Mix well until fully incorporated.
  9. Adjust seasoning to taste, adding more vinegar for tanginess or sugar for sweetness if desired.
  10. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally.
  11. Spread a generous amount of the special sauce on the bottom half of each bun.
  12. Place a cooked beef patty with melted cheese on top of the sauce-covered bun.
  13. Add shredded lettuce, diced onions, and pickle slices on top of the patty.
  14. Top with the other half of the slider bun, pressing down gently.
  15. Optionally, brush the tops of the buns with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds for a classic look.
  16. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and cover with aluminum foil.
  17. Bake for about 10-15 minutes until the buns are warm and slightly toasted.
  18. Serve warm with extra special sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider mixing in some Worcestershire sauce into the beef before forming the patties.
  • Customize your sliders with additional toppings like bacon, jalapeños, or avocado for a twist on the classic recipe.
