Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, and fresh lemon juice. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- Add the dried thyme and rosemary to the bowl. Stir to incorporate the herbs into the marinade.
- Season the marinade with salt and pepper to taste, starting with about ½ teaspoon of salt and a few cracks of black pepper.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag, skin side down if applicable.
- Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well coated. If using a bag, seal it and gently massage the marinade into the fish.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap or seal the bag, and let the salmon marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for enhanced flavor.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
- Once marinated, remove the salmon from the refrigerator and place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down.
- Drizzle any remaining marinade over the top of the salmon fillets.
- Spread the marinade evenly over the fillets using a spoon or brush.
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- For a caramelized top, broil the salmon for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the salmon rest for a couple of minutes.
- Carefully transfer the salmon fillets to serving plates using a spatula.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing.
Notes
- For best results, marinate the salmon for at least 30 minutes, but up to 2 hours is ideal.
